Using some 20" monitors as opposed to 23"s while I try to figure out a place for my speakers.
Love the wood. And the blue LED's
Looks really, really nice! Would like a picture of the "computer guts" if possible though. Could you include specs too, or were they posted as a comment in your previous post?
I put an Asus m5A99X evo r2.0 mobo, AMD FX cpu, gtx560ti(TOASTED) 12 gigs ram, 2 1TB HDD's (one for VM's) with a hot swap bay up front on the left. NZXT touch screen fan controller all the way to the right and the power button is actually a doorbell. In the left slot I have two usb 3.0 ports. A modest Asus Xonar DG sound card to power my audio engine A2's and two 23" monitors (20 atm because of space). Something went wrong with the 560 so I had to run to replace it temp. with a geForce gt 610 until I get the 680 or 770.
Thanks! Really nice idea with the doorbell! Never seen that before
What are speakers or what kind do I have? They are audio engine A2's. They don't fit to my liking with bigger monitors up there.
Did you make the desk yourself?
Is it made from pressure treated and stained? im thinking of making a bookshelf and i love the finish
Yep. It's birch wood with kona stain. The color really highlights the patterns of the wood. Initially wanted it to be a little darker but I'm happy with the result.
Sweet, thanks. also do you use that nostromo or whatever it is? i was contemplating getting one for fps but i havnt heard anything about it
I couldn't game without it. Makes long sessions a lot easier.
Is it comfortable? I would think my chair would have to be too low to put my legs under, and my arms would be too high (just personal preference). Looks great though!
It is comfortable for a short while. I will be altering it this weekend. Going to cut a chunk out of the front and bottom and build it back up inside so I can fit my knees comfortable under after I take 2 inches off the legs.
Wow , in between finding the best case and finding the best table, you cut the middle man out! I love it! How is the cooling and temperature with all that?
What temps do you get on average?
They are pretty good actually. The entire thing stays between 25-30 C. The only thing I'm worried about is my video card. It was running 40-55 C just web browsing and basic computer usage.
